The media could not be loaded. This scanner arrives with a cable, soft case and a set of instructions. It charges and connects to a computer via USB C. There are several buttons for controlling some of the functions but the screen is also touch sensitive for other menus. The features include OCR reading and storage, translation and MP3 recording where it will save a transcript of the recording in real time for later upload to your computer. A firmware update was available out of the box which took around twenty minutes to download and install.I really like the speed and accuracy of the OCR and translation from this pen. It takes about 20 seconds to boot up but once up and running it reads the lines almost instantly, with only a small delay to allow you to scan multiple lines if required. I have included a video showing it in the OCR function to demonstrate the speed and accuracy. For some of the features like translation you need a WiFi connection but this is easy enough to set up and doesn’t seem to slow down the device any. I am off to Italy next year so have been using this to translate practice phrases and it does an excellent job and will certainly get some use over there.Voice recording is of good quality and I would say that the translation accuracy is good enough. Not perfect by any stretch but the transcript is certainly good enough to work from and compile some very accurate minutes of a meeting.The computer connection is quick and the device shows as an SD card which allows you to download the transcripts saved on the device.On to the areas which are less good. The manual is not the easiest to read. Partly due to the small text used but also due to the powerful and complicated functions available on the device only being covered in a sentence or two. Secondly I am disappointed that it is so reliant on the touch screen for use – one of the uses for this could be for a sight impaired person where a touch screen is not the most practical interface.Overall though I must say that I am impressed with this device. It is quick and easy enough to use and contains a really good set of tools to help with productivity at home or in the office. Recommended.

The media could not be loaded. I got this to mainly help my daughter with her foreign language homework as I never took the languages she is currently studying.It has been a huge help with this although it is not always as accurate as I would like I believe this is actually just down to translating languages anyway. (If you use google like I normally do it does get confused too)I like that you can speak in English and get the voice to repeat it back to you in your chosen language or Vice versa.I did struggle a bit to begin with as I am left handed and the pen will only work going right to left and at a certain angle but I did get the hand of it in the end.Overall I think this pen will really help my daughter and myself with the secondary homework

As a device for translation, whether written or spoken this is extremely useful. You simply swipe the pen over text on a document and it translates instantly. The surprising thing is its ability to read even quite artistic fonts, flawlessly and can be used either online or offline.Connected to a smartphone it can translate text to speech, or save text for use later. The visual touch screen interface allows the user to easily select a variety of modes and languages.As a device for travelling it has a multitude of uses and is highly recommended.

An essential part of any students kit. Helps you scan and highlight important notes. Stores on the pen for transferring to a file or work note later. Sits nicely in the hand. The translation option is very good too. Well worth the money.
