    I bought this as I travel frequently and my passport is beginning to succumb to wear and tear. This holder protects the passport well with the metal framing around the outer corners of the holder preventing squishing. The holder is slightly larger than a passport so the passport fits in well, but is not at risk of falling out due to the cover holders. Perhaps the detailing on the front could be a bit more accurate and the spine could be wider to accommodate the passport slightly better but this is not essential unless you have an extended passport with extra pages.
